PricePing Privacy Policy

PricePing ("we", "the app") is a Shopify app that monitors competitor product pages on behalf of the merchants who install it.

What we store

• Shop information: your shop domain, the Shopify access token required to run the app, and the shop owner email (used as the default alert address).
• Data you provide: competitor product URLs, optional labels and competitor names, an optional alert email address, and an optional Slack webhook URL.
• Data we generate: daily price and stock snapshots for the URLs you track, and operational logs of each check run.

What we do NOT store

We store no data about your customers. We never read customers, orders, or any personal data from your store. Accordingly, GDPR customers/data_request and customers/redact requests receive an acknowledgment with nothing to return or delete.

How data is used

Price data is used solely to show your dashboard, build price history, and send you change alerts. Alert emails are delivered via Resend; optional Slack notifications go to the webhook you configure. We do not sell or share your data with any other party.

Data retention and deletion

• Uninstalling the app immediately deactivates all scheduled checks and deletes your access tokens.
• 48 hours after uninstall, Shopify sends the shop/redact webhook and we permanently delete your shop record and all associated tracked products, price history, and settings.
• You can also delete any tracked product (and its history) at any time from the dashboard.
